It is a tree belonging to the Rosaceae family, typical of Europe and the Middle East. It reaches between 15 and 30 metres in height, lives about 100 years and requires a lot of light. The leaves are alternate, oval-shaped and pale green with a sharp point, the hermaphrodite flowers, with five white petals, are pollinated by bees. The fruit (cherry) is a fleshy drupe of about 1 cm, bright red with a characteristic taste.
The cherry tree belongs to the rosacea family and is native to Europe and the Middle East.
Used for the treatment of minor renal diseases and gout.
