Asiaticoside
Famous for its anti-hyaluronidase properties, able to modulate the action of fibroblasts on which the production of type I collagen and glycosaminoglycans depends, which is responsible for skin firmness.
In this way Asiaticoside counteracts the loss of elasticity of the epidermis, slowing down the formation of wrinkles.
By promoting angiogenesis and increasing, in newly formed skin, the induction of cellular antioxidant systems such as SODs, glutathione peroxidase and catalase, it prevents cell degeneration of the epidermis and can boast healing and re-epithelialising properties.
It is mainly used in the preparation of cosmetics for its positive effect on health and maintaining skin elasticity.
It can usually be found in anti-stretch mark, firming and anti-wrinkle products.
